A New Day...

Betty and I took a trip to Las Vegas this past weekend to see the Celine Dion Concert: A New Day.

Like her or not (she tend to annoy me sometimes with her facial expressions and over-the-top singing) she has a damn good voice!

I can't really say it was a concert because it was a huge production type thing. Lots of dancers, lights, and props. The whole show was VERY polished and looked every bit as much as it cost (and it BETTER...seeing as how the freakin' Ceasar's Palace Colloseum was built FOR HER) !

Celine sang a multitude of the songs that I actually like including:

A New Day Has Come
The Power of Love
It's All Coming Back To Me Now
Because You Loved Me
Seduces Me
If That's What It Takes (French version)
I Drove All Night
To Love You More
(I know there are some that I'm missing here)

Encore: My Heart Will Go On

She also sang 3 songs from Classic singers like Etta James, Frank Sinatra, and another person which I forget (not classic enough I guess..hahaha)

I've been to a number of concerts in my life including Erasure, Depeche Mode, No Doubt, and Sarah Maclachlan... ...and they ALL sound really good live (especially Depeche Mode and Sarah Machlachlan), but Celine takes the cake...

Whether she annoys you...or you just don't like her music...I strongly believe you still would like the "show"...the whole "production"... It's that good.

This trip to see Celine Dion was a bday gift for my wife...and she loved it. In fact...as soon as the lights dimmed and the beginning sequence of the first song, "A New Day Has Come," starts playing...I see Betty tearing up...and crying..ahhahaha

I laugh at you... but you know I love you Betty =)....
